I'm wondering how the colours are associated with parts in ProE 2001 assemblies? - I'm asking because I have the following problem:
When I draw a part and assign it a colour it remains that colour.
When I assemble the part to an assembly it is uploaded with the assigned colour.
When I change the colour of the part in assembly mode, the part colour changes only in the assembly mode.
Is there any way to reset the colours of parts in assemblies to the same colour they have in the part file, so that any further changes made to the colour of the part at part file level file cause the part to change colour in the assembly?
Similarly is it possible to change the colour of a part in an assembly and have this new colour automatically assigned to the part file?
Since ProE seamlessly revises data such as dimensional information regardless of whether its modified at part, assembly or 2D drawing level, it's strange that there doesn't seem to even be an option to deal with the part colouring the same way.
