Part design/drafting û tolerance dimension. 1

In a part design if I create some tolerance dimension (minimum and maximum tolerance), what I have to do in drafting mode to create that tolerance too.
Standard manner of dimensioning and generate dimension option are creating just dimension, without tolerance.
How I can create tolerance dimension created in part design in drafting mode?

you have to use the generate dimension function in drafting.

You have two choices here - modify the dimension afterward to put the tolerances on your dimension, or create a new Drafting Style in your Drafting Standards that has dimensions with tolerances already turned on.

Thanks Itsmyjob, but:

In a drafting, when I use generate dimension function, it create just dimension, without tolerance. Perhaps I have to check something in options meny.

I didn’t understand your answer. Because, what can I do if someone send me some part with few tolerance dimensions (I don’t know which dimensions are tolerated), and I have to dimension that part in drafting.
I can’t go in part design and check which constraints have tolerance and which don’t (that is a lot of work).
How can I create a new Drafting Style in my Drafting Standards? And can you tell me something more about that new Drafting Style in your Drafting Standards that has dimensions with tolerances already turned on (what if I don’t know which dimensions have tolerance?)
And finally what is a purpose of that option in Part design to add in constraints tolerance dimension?

Hi,

Go in Tools / Options / Mechanical Design / Drafting // Generation : turn ON filters before generation .

When you generate dimension, ask for tolerances....
