Hello all, I am a high school teacher using COSMOS in my classroom. Currently my students are trying to model a crane assembly which consists of two parts, a crane arm and a base which are hinged together using the pin connector. When some of my students go to mesh their 2 part assembly only one part will mesh and the other will disappear and I will get an error. Most of my students projects are working fine.

How can I get the computer to mesh both parts and complete the simulation?

If a change was made to a component after the study was created you may have to use the "UPDATE ALL COMPONENTS" commnad. (to find this command: right click the study) After doing this make sure the material definitions are still there, too.

Thank you for the help PeteDB, I've tried your solution and it has solved the problem.
