All,
Looking to find a way to link part filename to a note in drafting. NOTE: No Teamcenter here so it seems my part attributes flexibility is hampered significantly. When clicking "Relationships" in Annotation Editor the list sees the "Part Attributes"(from Properties) of the file, but so far I am unable to create a Part Att. linked to the part filename.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

You have to use GRIP or UG/Open to assign the file name to a part attriubute. Then you can use it in annotation notes.

Thanks for the tip!

I found an older post of yours which had some additional grip text. It works fine. But, I assumed(ouch) that the part attribute was live, in that when the partfile name changed(Save As) the attribute would update and therefore the note. In my case it doesn't, and I am not aware of a 'refresh' or update for attributes. Any ideas?

Re run the GRIP code!
There is no live update capability in GRIP.

We used to run extensive GRIP code on a SaveAs that would update the attributes as part of the process.
