Hello,
I would like to know is there any way to remove part history information such as User and Program data. Some time if we oass our UG file to others, we want to keep these data confidential.
Please refer to the attached file for more info. I also observed these informations were removed in the UGCAST training files. Thanks in advance.

Using NX 5.0.6

The only practical way of doing this is to perform a...

File -> Export -> Part...

...and select the 'New' option specifying a new Part File name. Then using 'Class Selection' select ALL. Set the Feature Parameters to 'Retain All Parameters' and Expression Transfer Mode to 'Copy if Referenced' and then hit OK and a 'copy' of you file will be created with NO HISTORY other than the current session. Note that Part Attributes are not copied, so you will have manually 'Copy & Paste' those yourself (Object Attributes however will be copied OK).

Thanks John, for your reply.

But the thing is I have seen UGCAST training files contains history tree with empty user and program data field (as shown in my previous image file). I am curious to know is there any option to remove these details. Since program field shows complete directory path of the part file.

I could check with the people who create the course ware and the supporting material. If I learn anything, I'll pass it along, but I suspect that whatever mechanism was used that it may not be available to customers, but I could be wrong.

Raj,

Most of our clients who send us sensitive models use the parasolid export option.

Bill,

Thanks for sharing the information. Still I am curious to know any option to remove those information without loosing the model feature tree.
