Part List Reorder Lock

While using NX5, I have created an automatic parts list.
I would like to override the part name. Once I override the text the part list sorts and rearranges the part #s that are all ready used in part drawings. I have tried locking, changing sort methods ect. How do I change the part name without resorting the part numbers??

The old way used to be to add a manually filled in column.
Type in the number that will control the order of the parts in this column and sort the parts list using this column not the part name. This helps controlling your callouts on drawings also. I haven't used NX5 yet so things may have changed a bit.
Also remeber to type "01" instead of "1" otherwise you'll have problems sorting if you have 10 or more parts.
