Part Routing through Machine shop Layout

I have been working in ACAD 14 for a few years, but still don't utilize ACAD as well as I would like.

I have a project that I have been working on for quite a while and I was wondering if someone would help me. I am not even sure that this is possible, but I think that it is.

I have a 2D ACAD layout of our machine shop. Now I am supposed to draw in paths between the machines of all the parts that we produce (in a routed format). We have approximately 250 part numbers that we run annually. And each part number has an average of 6 operations.

First, I need to be able to draw a line from one machine (operation 1) to the next machine (operation 2). Next, I need to quantify that line somehow (either with a number next to it or a line thickness) to show how many different part numbers take that same path.

I have a spreadsheet with all the routing information of all the parts and operations. I have started to manually draw in lines and at this rate, I will be at my desk for the next two months. It's due in a week :-0

Is there a way to link the spreadsheet info with the drawing and help me speed this up? Even if I have to draw lines between each machine first, can I link the s-sheet to be able to change each line thickness or add (and update) a number next to each line?

Any help would be appreciated!!!
