Part size in the BOM

I'm trying to set up a BOM so that it show's the overall size of each part....a sort of cutlist.

I can get this to work beautifully in a single part, but can't get it to work in an assembly.

When I insert the equation in to the BOM in the assembly, the 'size' variable is available, but only puts a ? symbol in the field.

Any ideas?

Create properties for sizes in the part files and call them in the BOM.
