I am trying to create a Parts List Template whereby the height of all rows is 0.3125". I can set the height of the header, but can't figure out how to set the height of the rows ?

I can resize the rows after the Parts List has been imported, but that just means extra work afterwards.

Can it be done ?

What you do is add you Parts List template to a Drawing Template with at least one component as a 'place holder'. This means that there will be at least one row (in addition to the header) defined in the Parts List when looking at the Drawing Template file. Set this row to the height that you wish and then when you use the Drawing Template ALL of the rows will have this same 'preset' height.

Thanks John.

Is it possibly if I'm not using a Drawing Template ? That is, if I drag and drop the Parts List onto a drawing.

phillpd,

You'll likely find samples of just such a thing distributed with your version of NX. What it consists of are files containing templates for parts lists with the columns already in place. What is done then is simply to add these to a pallette .pax file by editing one of the many samples provided with NX. Alternately you can simply place the part files in a directory and use the palettes dialogs to create a palette from the contents of that directory.

Hudson,

I do have a palette defined on the resource bar for all of my Parts Lists.

However, I can't control the height of the rows, unless, according to John I use a Drawing Template.

Okay, seems to be working now.

I've added a component directly into the Parts List Template. I can then set the height of the rows.
