Do some of you have an idea of how to calculate the passive pressure caused by a cohesive soil that has a triangular form, I mean, a slope which descends respect to horizontal, acting against the vertical wall of a sheetpile?.

The approach best suited to this is by Caquot & Kerisel who have produced graphs to calculate ka and kp for varying slope angles. You will find this in good texts. CIRIA report SP98 has the tables along with lots of good advice.

Dear GINGER, I appreciat your comments about the question. Now I just want to verify the CIRIA publication you refers, since the reference SP98 doesn't appear in the publication list; however I found the SP095 book “The design and construction of sheet-piled cofferdams”, is this the publication to that you refer?. Thank you again for your answer.

Sorry ! You are correct SP 095 is the correct number.
