Hello!

I have faced two major issues with SOL 600 / Marc solver, regarding to (1) cohesive elements and (2) compelled displacement distributed by spatial field.

(1) SOL 600 doesn't support CIFHEX / CIFPENT elements, which are working fine in SOL 400 to evaluate the composite delamination. Are there another cohesive element type to be used in SOL 600 instead of those? And how the Marc reacts on the cohesive elements?

(2) Patran allows to apply compelled displacement via values written in the spatial vector field. Nastran solvers are working fine with translating them, however Marc is throwing out the error of such kind - Unsupported field type.

The reason why the Vector field type is used is that we need the n amount of nodes to be moved for an exact value in x, y and z directions. The displacement value for each node may and will differ.

The model can be imported in Marc Mentat in order to create the loading conditions. What would be the options for creating the compelled displacement in a way described above, in the Marc Mentat environment?
