Hello,

I have a question regarding the Pattern Feature. I'm using NX 1953 and I have created a relatively complex parameterised model. What I now need to do is the following:

I have to pattern a line drawn in a Sketch along a Spline. The dimension of this line is done within the Sketch I'm pattering. I use the "along" pattern definition for this. The count is based on calculations within the expression (let it be 120 for now) and the "pitch by" value is a fixed value, for example 600. What I need to do now, is to calculate the length of each line (instance) which is based on different expressions and the Offset value for this instance. For "Instance[12][0]" for example this Offset value would be 12 X 600. My Problem now is, that the only chance I see to do the calculations is within the spreadsheet of the pattern feature as I can use the "direction 1 Offset" of each instance there for my calculations. But this also doesn't work as I can't use my expressions within this spreadsheet which I need for the calculation of the length of the line as well.

Has anyone an idea how I can accomplish what I need to do?

Thanks in advance.

What makes you need the spreadsheet for this calculation ?
doesn't the expression editor provide you the math needed ?
