I am trying to create a family table that includes a pattern table. The generic part does not need the cut/pattern table, however the instance does. Pro-E will only allow me to add this feature as a pattern table to the family table. When I try to suppress the cut/pattern table in the generic part, Pro-E also suppresses the part in the instance. I cannot figure out how to have the cut/pattern table suppressed in the generic part and have it active in the instance. I am trying to avoid having to create 9 different features and utilize the pattern table option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The Pattern Table should be added as a feature to the Family Table and in the instance row replace the * with a Yes.

That way when the generic has the Pattern Table suppressed the instance will still have it active.

If you have a * in the Feature column then it will always be affected when the Generic is changed.
