Hi everyone

Can someone tell me if its possible to create pattern with variable OBJECT. What i mean is this:
Lets say we have thin wall cylinder and somewhere on the wall is small rectangle cutout. What I need to do is circular pattern that cutout around the cylinder but I need rectangle to change its dimensions (or just one dim doesnt matter). Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks

Ok but tbh I simpled up my problem a bit,
what would u do if u had to make surface stamp instead of rectangular cutout
(funny thing is, stamps shape would change exactly like your rectangular cutout in image) ?

Thanks

i ll do a power copy...

if I have many iteration, i'll do a knowledge template or a script.

Ok thanks for answering,
I have no experience with power copy or knowledge patterns/template
so i guess i need to read up on that subject and find some tutorials etc...
Thanks again.

Hi Storm,
You can do it by exploding the circular pattern ( by right clicking the circular pattern in the tree and choosing "explode" ).
Then you can change the dimensions of each pocket feature directly in the part design itself.Hope it helps. All the Best.
