I have a large area of steel shuttered, concrete wall in an industrial situation. I need a low cost idea to break up the surface and hide the marks left by the shutter pans. Any ideas?

Paint the walls with pigmented co-polymer resin/water based stain. Mix various colours to visually break up the area. It costs about $4.00US/sq meter to light sand blast and paint in the US west.

If Le Corbusier were alive, he would probably tell you to paint the shutter marks red. That is how he recommended to do when someone asked him how to cover cracks in concrete.

I don't believe this comment would be of much help to you, but I could not resist to mention this remark of the noted French architect.

Many thanks KRD - I like your idea.
As for Le Corbusier - aussi une bonne idee!
