PDMWorks - Deleting Folders 2

I'm the admin for a PDMWorks 2004 server. There are three other admins besides me. One of the other admins created a project structure that now has to be deleted (because you can't rename projects in PDMWorks; you have to delete them and recreate them under the new names... GRRRR!). The problem is, when I try to delete those projects, I get an "Error 1005: Project not deleted" message. The other admin can delete them, but I can't. However, projects that I create myself can be deleted without any problems. I have verified that I have admin access to the entire vault, I have verified that I have read/write access to the projects I'm deleting, I have verified that the projects to be deleted are empty, and I have verified that the service pack number (SP02.1) is the same on the client and server. Am I missing something, or is this a software bug? My local VAR has never heard of this happening (of course).

Any assistance you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated!

PDMAdmin,
Wow! You answered every question I could possibly think of doing myself. Very well done.
I just deleted a project folder that I did not create using PDMWorks 2004 SP 3.0. Just one other thing to check in “PDMWorks 2004 VaultAdmin” dialog, click the tab Vault Settings. On the right side of that dialog you will find “Users with Admin privileges”. Make sure that the Name: that you enter in the “PDMWorks 2004 VaultAdmin – Login” text box is checked in the “Users with Admin privileges”. I am sure it is but that is the only guess I can come up with.
If this does not work let me know and I will look at more guesses.

Okay, I double-checked that setting, and my login is among the "Administrators" group. I have also tried setting the delete permissions to "All Users" temporarily instead of "Admins Only." (I had heard from another user that he had fixed the same problem that way.) I got my hopes up, but neither approach fixed the problem.

Still digging... Thanks for the help!

PDMAdmin,
This is a real long shot. Have the Admin that can delete the folders you cannot, check in his or her dialog “Users with Admin privileges”. Is your login checked? Try logging in on his or her computer and then you delete a file you could not before. If that one worked please let me know.
Do you still have pdmwadmin still in the privileges area? Try deleting a folder you cannot using the pdmwadmin login.
You have done a very excellent job checking everything. There are only two options as I see it. The admin, who can delete, does all the deleting or you upgrade to SP 3.0. If that does not work I would uninstall PDM on my machine first and reinstall it with virus protection off, then if that does not work I would reinstall the PDM on the Server with virus protection off.

I am a very happy camper today. My VAR was finally able to pinpoint the cause of the problem after consulting with SolidWorks. This is apparently a known issue with PDMWorks. To get around the problem, I had to make myself a single user with admin privileges, rather than make myself part of a group with admin privileges. To do that, I checkmarked my login under "Users with Admin Privileges" in "Vault Settings," then I removed my login from the admin group. (Do it in THAT order; otherwise you'll be locked out of the vault!) Once I did that, it was smooth sailing.

I appreciate all the helpful suggestions!

PDMAdmin,
Thank you so very much for working on and solving this problem. I had the exact same issue with a new admin login today. Your solution saved me at least an hour.
