Hi,

I have got this pipe sample and can not figure out on which method or process was used for coating it with HDPE?

I went through the 3LPE processes explained in the web and it doesn't seems to be the same process used with this pipe!

the HDPE coating in the picture is like casted not wrapped as in the
3LPE process!

Don't look sprayed, perhaps extruded.

There isn't a pipe seam showing on the pipe's end, or the bit inside. The line also looks like its a diameter trace, not a spiral.

The circumferential line in the coating has the appearance of a seam (in the coating not the pipe) where the side extruded wrapping bands fuse together. Of course, it could just be an artefact of pipe handling through rollers etc on a cross head extruded polyolefin layer or a totally powder applied 3 layer system, Bredero's High Performance Composite Coating, for example.
