Peculiar problem with saving V5 data

I am facing a peculiar problem while saving V5 data in my server(this is a very huge server with tons of storage space). When I hit save, I get the save window showing that the save is in progress and it also shows that save is completed 100%. To my horror, I don't find the saved file in server.(I check the timestamp).
If I "save as" with a new name only, the file saves in server.

Only solution I found was to save the file in local disk.
And later move it to server.
With saving in local disk, there was no problem.
But really can't understand why I couldnt save it in sever!!

There is no problem with my server as other users can save files in it without any problem(not the V5 files though)..

Any thoughts???
