I've been trying to develop a good potting process for an aerospace application connector. This connector and wire will see -65 F to 450 F and will have to withstand a saltwater immersion that is brought up to 45,000 without a breakdown of internal resistance. So far, no potting will satisfactorily adhere to the PTFE (teflon fluoropolymer) insulation of the wire. I've tried etching with no luck.

I understand that Polyetheretherketone is a new insulation material that offers as good or better environmental and chemical resistance as PTFE. Does anyone reading this forum have any experience with this insulation? Does it more readily bond to epoxy potting compounds such as Scotchcast or Scotchweld?
