Hello all,

Has anyone ever tried to find out how long does this press apply the force on a specimen when the brake paddle is pressed? I want to use a Load cell to find out if the press actually applies the force that the dial says it does (need it because of strict standards in aviation industry).

Thanks

V.

I do not know that time is a factor in placing a Pem-sert . I think total load is the determining factor. The timers on a Pemserter are there to adjust the speed of travel up and down and dwell of the ram, not to adjust the load.
I have included a PDF of the hand book, which I think is the one for your machine.

You are judged not by what you know, but by what you can do.

Thanks berkshire. Only reason I am concerned about how long the force is applied for is due to the digital reader/loadcell which has a response time of atleast 1sec. Only then the digital meter can show me a stable value. Yes the timers inside the pemserter can adjust how long the ram is extended. I have something in mind to find the time the force is applied for! Will let you know if that works.

Thanks again.

Ok it worked. Like I said I wanted to find out how long the force is applied for. wired up a load cell to a digital reader. Connected an oscilloscope to the reader and approximately found it from the graph. The pemserter applies the force for approximately for 0.8 to 0.9secs.
