Writing on Aluminum. So for my short time in this world I've been told the gold standard is the blue fine tip Sharpe for doing layout work, because normal pencils and aluminum are not friends (Galvanic with graphite and scratches). 2 questions:

A: what do you all use?
B: This was spurred by a local MRO owned by Textron approving tech to use a Dixon Ticonderoga BLUE 420T pencil because they didn't like sharpes being used.

Coloured pencils don't necessarily contain graphite.

i'm using "pica" made pencils and markers - for the pencils they are offering inserts in different colors and compatible with different materials, my favorite form of their marker is long reach one for deep holes marking - good enough to be used as a sole tool of it's kind - really nice hardware - only bad thing about using this pencils - chips from sharpening or broken tips attached to the boots may cover everything with false signs :D :D - as every tool - requires specific level of culture

what one MRO does is on them and the guy approving it. don't try to leverage it, particularly if it goes against everything you've been told to date.
