Hi,

I am modelling an axisymetric model to simulate penetration a hallow cylinder into the soil. I defined sliding interaction between soil and cylinder in order to put the cylinder into the soil by sliding behavior. for this purpose, contact pairs surface were chosen ( Master & Slave ) so that, the surface of cylinder has been selected as a master surface and the surface of soil which is in contact with cylinder has been defined as slave surface. In addition, I applied the load in different steps with many increments. However, before starting sliding the model says error message ( Fix time increment is too large ).It should be mentioned that the sticking movement are simulating well.
I was wondering if any body could help me regarding my problem. I will send my file to you if you think you can help me. Thank you very much in advance.
