Dear All,

We genuinely use single or double perforated baffles at the inlet section of a G/L/L or L/L separator in order to smoothen the flow distribution upstream the settling section and allow a more laminar smooth settling. However, if we dont have L/L separation requirement and it is only a G/L separator, do you agree that baffles can still be applied for degassing purposes and also to prevent sloshing and erosion at the bottom of the drum?

Thanks

Regards,

we always install a perforated baffle in gas- liquid separators, it help to reduce foaming and the disturbance in the liquid, making easy to the gas drop to separated from the liquid
