Peristaltic Pump for 2-part Epoxy

I've never use one of these pumps and would like help going the right direction.

The 2-part epoxy needs to be dispensed at a 4:1 ratio. If the pump were to run at all times, it would need total dispense rate of one GPH with ability to increase or decrease rate as needed.

IF the 2 parts have nearly the same viscosity, and are pumped through very similar fluid circuits, you might get decent results with a five- tube pump, using five identical tubes and five identical dispense nozzles.

You will get erratic results if you try to use a big tube and a little tube, or two pumps at different speeds.

Contrary to popular belief, peristaltic pumps' delivery per rotation is sensitive to viscosity and backpressure. It also changes with time as the tubing 'ages'.

The viscosity is not the same. Part A is 1700cps and part B is 100cps.

The application suggested for this pump is to transfer each material from a 55 gallon drum to their own 5 gallon bucket. The buckets are currently connected to a system that dispenses the material at the correct ratio. I just need to make sure the 5 gallon buckets remain filled.

I can use two pumps for the different materials.

Another good choice on a peristaltic pump would be PeriFlo at They have a complete line of metering style hose pumps specifically for tough applications.
