Still working on recommendations for the project mentioned in my last thread which will involve a bore pit and a receving pit that will have significant dewatering needs. We performed both pump and slug testing and have very different K conditions between the pits due to different geologic formations on wither side of a creek channel. in the area of one pit I have K values ranging from 2.5 to 10 feet/day based on rising head calcs from the slug testing. In the other pit I have crazy K values ranging from 90 to 380 feet/day, from rising head part of slug testing (the pump test barely affected the water level in that formation). The (municipal) client wants to know gpm/SF of vertical foot surface area in the pits, for the contractor to estimate dewatering needs.... I don't know if I have the data to calculate this or if it is something I can responsibly provide. thoughts would be appreciated...
