Permeability leak rate equation - PARKER HANDBOOK 3.12.1
Permeability leak rate equation = L = 0.7*F*D*P*Q*(1-S)*(1-S)
Where does this equation come from
I was told thin wall film; does anyone know
Intuitively, this approximation has flaw since it assumes permeability only function of squeeze S
So a one inch cross section oring at 20% squeeze has same permeability leak rate as a .030 cross section oring at 20% squeeze even though path length different by 3233%?
why does it depend only on squeeze percentage and not path length
Does not make sense
If anyone can shed light, will greatly appreciate
