We recently inspected a Sprinkler Fire Suppression System.
I came across something I have never seen before and was hoping for some input from the Forum. The situation is this:

Connected to the Sprinkler System Pipe is a "T" fitting, connected to the "T" fitting is a 90 degree elbow. Connected to the 90 degree elbow is a Stainless Steel Flexible Hose, which extends approximately 30" and connects into a Sprinkler.

My questions are these, I can't find anything in NFPA 13 that indicates this is a violation? Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation or can point me to the right paragraph?

Thanks in advance for your attention to this request.

Many Thanks.
Yes, That is what it looks like. And the photos from the website you provided show a similar installation.
Thanks Again.

They have been around for at least 15 years, it is that they are starting to show up in more everyday use.

It seems like a good idea. The website you provided had some additional information. It mentions that the FlexHead is Referenced in 2007 NFPA 13. (Paragraph 9.2.1.3.3) The 2007 edition is the first time Flexible Sprinkler Hose Fittings are mentioned.
