Hello guys,

I hope to clearly explain myself on how i want to do this project, and i expect your comments because i want to learn and maybe something is missing me. I'm thinking about open a old gas bottle, properly clean it and connect the following: i had an old refrigerator, so i want to use the pumps to do like an hydrophore put maybe 15 bar pressure in the bottle, put two one way valve in each connection from the pumps to the bottle, put a safety valve, 2 limit switches, and i am still thinking in the fluid, water maybe? then the discharge from the bottle is connected to a pelton turbine, and here i am thinking in to connect a shaft in the pelton for two small wheels (out diameter =350 mm).
I am worried about the pumps can't keep up with the flow, the force exerted on the pelton i don't know if its too low (i've to do the calculations), and add the inertia of the shaft and wheels, to do like a small kart or instead of wheels put a propeller and do a river boat (i live near a river).

So what you think, seems executable? can i improve somehow?

Thank you very much

Well a diagram always helps and also some explanation of what the overall concept here is.

It sounds to me like some sort of stored energy device?

In which case you're far better off using an standard air bottle ( e.g. diving equipment) and running an air turbine or air driven motor.

There isn't that much energy in 15 bar in a small volume and I don't understand these refrigerator pumps. Again very small power and what purpose do they do??

The more times you change one energy source to another you loose efficiency and end up with a 1/10th of the energy you started with.

This really should be in the "engineers with hobbies" forum not this one....
