Not sure how to help you on this one. I'm on V20 and as far as i can tell perspective view is only available on "Explode-Render-Animate"

@Cadman

perspective view (as function) is available outside ERA
as well, see attached picture.
When not there you can get it:

- RMB into free space above the window or below a toolbar
- Cutomize --> Toolbars --> View
and drag the icon to either toolbar

@mxious
Why it disappears on certain view manipluations, I don't know

While playing looking for Perspective view, which by the way i still can't find out side of ERA (We never use this but still curious where it at outside of ERA). Go to Formate View under Rendering and see what Perspective set at. It should be set at none

Holding down crtl+shift and rolling the mouse wheel allows you to apply perspective to the view.

kjoiner as it right, this key-combination applies perspective manually. Mxious, I'm guessing that you sometimes accidentally roll the mouse wheel while holding it down with CTRL+SHIFT pressed. When you release the mouse wheel, perspective is applied (I just tried this).

BTW when applying perspective that way, you can get more settings than the Render tab in the Display settings window, which allows only 35, 50 and 85mm. But it shows as "None" in the settings.

and ALT+RMB will reset it to orthogonal
BTW: ALT+RMB+Drag will zoom window
