Anybody had any experience with Permeable Friction Course?

I think it is outstanding, with only a few drawbacks: cost, tie-ins, and maintenance.

Drumchaser...yeah, it's used here in Florida quite a bit on interstate highways. Kind of cool to see a "dry" roadway surface with water bleeding out on the paved shoulder from
"under" the surface. Holds up surprisingly well.

Ron...we have only been using it for a few years now, but wow, it never ceases to amaze when crossing the threshold onto the PFC mat. (during a down pour)

Are you aware if Stone Matrix Asphalt is under your PFC layer(s)? And have you had any experience with the SMA? I would guess the PFC on your Interstate is sitting directly on top of concrete paving, maybe not.

My main interest is in the remedial measures employed when the mat is in distress, wears out. And what service life has anyone experienced.

Been awhile since I have been in the Sunshine State. Very nice.
