Phase rotation and synchr testing of remote sources

I currently have the enviable opportunity to supply my manufacturing plant with more than one electrical source for backup purposes. Essential to this is both phase rotation and synchronisation as a fast transfer must be initiated.
I am looking for a method of comparing these, taking into account that the two sources are currently remote from each other, and to trace transformer diagrams is close to impossible. What method and equipment will I need for this study?
Thanks

What voltage?

There are commercially available relays that will monitor rotation and synchronism - if this an HV application then you must prove your instrument transformer phasing first off. This will require specialist equipment: it would probably be more economical to contract this out than buy the equipment for a one-off job.

You are much better off to have the utility co. confirm this for you as they know their grid and interconncetions.

Knowing trasnformer vector for your source transformer is not adequate as you may not know how many tranformers are involved in the two lines, starting from the source.
