I need to set up an experiment that will use 1-5% Phosphoric Acid Solution at a temp of 180F and pressure of 2000-4000 psig. Does anyone know the H3PO4 will gas-off at these conditions or will it be negligible? (i need to figure out if i need to modify our current vent down conditions or if our current set-up is acceptable)

any help at all on this would be appreciated, even if its just a suggestion on where to begin looking.

Thanks!

Hot phosphoric was used for aluminum etching in ICs. Can't remember conditions or concentrations, but this was always done in a fume hood with a scrubber at the other end.

I can guarantee that the vapor pressure of the phosphoric acid is less than 2000psi. Is that what you are asking?

H3P04 was used to "glue" the phosphors to the inside
of the neon tubes ( around 1980 ) The pressure was
a few mm. Hg -- evidently the vapor pressure or H3P)4 is much less.
