Physical property of AISI 4130

Dear Friends,

i have taken reference of ASTM 29/ ASTM 434 & DIN 1.7218 for AISI 4130

In DIN 1.7218 , i have got chemical & physical property both
In ASTM A29, i have got chemical property & ASTM A434 , i have got physical property.

But My question is that In all above standard , They have limitation of round bar up to diameter 250 mm Bar.

I am not sure that can i use physical property of 4130 above diameter 250 mm bar or there is different standard for physical property above diameter 250mm Bar?

I believe you mean tensile property data. The problem is the limited hardenability of 4130 quenched and tempered steel. Typically, tabular data is published to 250mm diameter. Beyond this diameter, the effect of hardening from heat treatment is diminished. You need to look at hardenability curves as referenced below

 
You might try MMPDS (regrettably I don't have access to my copy from here).
They will list properties based on size, when it is critical.
In general people would not use 4130 in thick sections because it will not through harden.
This is what the 4300 steels are for.

EdStainless is correct; 4130 will not be useful at 250mm Ø.
You will find that alloy content increases with bar/shaft diameter due to the thickness effect. The general progression is 1045 >> 4140 >> 4340, with some variations.
