Hi, here's a whacky query...

What volume of space would the following unit transformer occupy?
- 200 MVA
- 15 kV / 132 kV
- OLTC fitted
- 133% capacity cooler system (discreet)

We guestimated at L9 x W6 x H5 (all in m) purely for the purposes of reserving space on our layout drawings, but need something a trifle more accurate for fire protection purposes. I only have direct experience of transmission-class transformers (autostar, 300MVA+), which is not much help with this.

Thanks
ARP

I would contact a few manufacturers to get their dimensions. Your height seems a little low if you are figuring in your bushings. The other dimensions sound close to what I've seen in the 300 MVA range.

You might try contacting Pennsylvania Transformer here and see if you can get in touch with someone in their engineering department in Cannonsburgh. They should be able to help. You could also try Hico for general dimensions.
