Hi friends,
Let me narrate all the things here from start
Liquid Oxygen tank with outer tank and inner tank which is stainless steel . Inner dia 15 m. Height up to roof compression ring is 12 m. UNIT ASU, GTL PROJECT.
Contractor decided to hand over pickling and passivation work to subcontractor ( they do painting) which has no experience in that field (cleaning the oxygen storages). The product they are using Avesta 401, 240, 630 - degreasing , pickling and passivati.
Problems i am facing when it comes to accept inspection:
1: the high pressure jet for rinsing with the water joints and plates is suitable only for painting which is airless jet (was used for painting before, they cleaned and replaced filters to new). Company did not purchase Avesta's jet machine which is shown on their handbook.
2: The chemical water after pickling and passivation accumulated on the bottom : does that harm bottom plae and its joints if not cleaned one or two days?
and 3: the first day when they started from the roof : they degreased , pickled it. we witnessed these two steps. But they sprayed passivating paste in the end of the day and left it without cleaning and without informing us. The next day after lunch all we knew about that and let them clean it. but the spots of passivation paste now became impossible to remove.
When checked by UV light it is not visible. whight light can be seen. Owner is asking to remove all these spots first and then start the shell only.
Thanks beforehand
