I have a part currently being waterjet cut from sheet stock 3/16" thick. Can anyone enlighten me to the problems we would experience in stamping these parts in a die? we have the press, the technology, and the orders for increasing capacity by stamping versus cutting.

my company makes tool steel and one of the biggest problems our customers have with aluminium is cold welding.
We use coatings for this nowadays.
