Final product quality of a monomer is tested in a batch reactor and it is desired to design an bed of drier material (using a selexsorb or 13X mol sieve) to remove contaminates from the feed. A batch of material to be tested will be passed through the guard bed when charging the reactor. Basically we need approx 1 liter of bed material in a pipe or vessel of say 1.5" diameter and connected to the reactor system by 1/2" tubing. It is further desired to regenerate the bed between tests using hot nitrogen.

Rather than reinvent equipment that may be fairly common on a bench scale, can anyone direct me to a company providing an electric heater for regeneration N2 (300C) of a size suitable to the scale involved, or that can perhaps assemble a package that would include both a regeneration heater and bed vessel?

best wishes,

You might try We have an older unit from these guys that is pretty small. It is a package unit that has two small beds and you can regenerate one and run the other one at the same time if you want to. The beds are pretty small, maybe 2cubic feet of sieves each. I think they make smaller ones than that if you want them to.
