We are in the process of installing a foundation on a hillside. The ledge is a variation of granite and the area has a 5-8 deg slope. An occasional seam can be found in the rock but it is not loose. The foundation will measure 28' x 44' and taking advantage of the slope we will have a walk-in. The 1'x2' footing will be directly on ledge but due to its smooth surface I am concerned that the building might shift. We are on the East coast so earthquake is not a real concern. Any help with depth, diameter & spacing of rebar dowels would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
