Dear all,
I am modelling a pipe burst under high pressure, using elastic-plastic analysis. What I observe is that the pipe bursts at one side as if it is more week in that location, however the pipe cross-section does not vary. Can anybody explain this phenomenon?
Another question is can I limit deformation at the point the pipe starts to open, to avoid endless calculation.
Also, it is seen that the mesh extends but does not disintegrate. How could I achieve mesh nodes disconnection?
Thank you in advance
