Hello everyone,

In code AsME sec VIII Div 1, code scope limit as per U-1(e)(1)(-a) " the welding end connection for first circumferential joint for weld connections"

Here please confirm which type of circ. Joint ?
Butt joint or other( refer attachment)

Can attached joint here applicable

IMO, the first Code weld includes the first weld of either butt or fillet welds.
