Anyone can explain the below material?


Pipe Manufacturing /
Material Grade = 1. HSAW/ X65
2. ERW/ X65

What happened to all the other posts?

xnabar - as said this is very simple stuff easily sourced from the internet.

HSAW Helical Submerged arc weld
ERW - Electric Resistance weld

The number after the X is the grade of pipe to API 5L
used to be ,000 psi SMYS, but now rounded to the nearest 5 MPa, so X 65 is 450 MPa,
