Dears,
As logic, suction pressure will be lower than discharge pressure from theoretical point of view pipe schudle of suction pipe was lower than dpipe schudle of discharge pipe..
In practical point of view we put suction and discharge pipe same or different schudle?

Depends on your pressure.

Also sometimes the inlet side of th epump can see the discharge side if the on return valve fails, so it's not uncommon to find the pressure break upstream of the pump inlet valve.

Look a the P&ID and talk to the process engineer.

Based on your experience little inch usually what you find?

Each system is different, but if you design for the same pressure class on inlet as you do on outlet it will be bullet proof, but the alternative might not be.

Your money, your choice.

It's a saying that means it will work whatever happens.

johngladstone,
Spelling issue:
It is schedule not schudle

Sometimes its possible to do all the right things and still get bad results
