pipe spool for deluge valve assembly

dear members ;

i want to know what is pipe spool for deluge system. and another question
i have a deluge system with open valve downstream of the deluge system ( for testing the system without flooding water to transformers ) and AHJ requested to replace all valves downstream of all deluge valves with pipe spools.

Sounds like you need clairification of what you are being told, plus posdibly some code sections, do you can see what the code says.

I think you are saying

Your set up is

Underground/ supply to bottom of deluge valve

Deluge valve to system piping

Between deluge valve and system piping you have s butterfly or osy or some type of valve that can be shut,but is normally open.

Is that kind of basic of what you have??

It might be legal? Need to check the book
