Pipe/Tube design

hey,
Ive been getting into autocad a little more, i have autodesk inventor 5 and was wandering if someone could help me design some tube/pipe structures such as a roll cage. if you could just go over how to make a simple pipe, bend it, weld it ect or if you have some site refrences or books that might help me that would be great too thanks alot!

R5 does not allow a 3D spline, so you will need to use straight lines and radius corners.
