Pipe Unbend (type thing) 1

OK so I have a pipe that I have modelled in the installed condition for the purpose of my top level assembly. The hose however is not moulded, it is just a cut length so I would like to show it in my drawing as a straight cut length (in a broken view).
Is there any way of doing this as an instance or something? I just can't think of a way around it.

What you need to do is cut off the hose where is starts to deviate from a straight line and add a protrusion to acheave the total length. The cut and the protrusion would then be put in a family table, the as assembled instance would not have the cut and protrusion, the drawing instance would. It may be useful to create an analysis feature to calculate the total length before the cut and use a relation to keep the length of the straight hose the same.

You can just right click on a pipe feature and pick info. The last line will have the total length of the pipe.

DHALLUP. That's assuming he used piping. I like Peter's suggestion. I've had this issue in the past, and never thought of doing that. The Relation step is even better.
