Did some design proposals for Iraq 10yrs ago. We used B31.4 and .8 as a design basis.
I have not followed their requirements since then.

Water, oil, or gas?

Einstein gave the same test to students every year. When asked why he would do something like that, "Because the answers had changed."

Hi there , yes using both those codes but it seems there is an Iraqi legislative document that mentions Block valve requirements outside of the code so trying to understand this , thanks for responding sorry its gas lines

This project link lists the number of valves in each leg of the pipeline run. Some legs must be in Iraq. I have not looked yet. You might be able to tell if it looks the same as B31.8, or if it looks significantly different.

This link is to a pdf supposedly containing INOC design standards, NOTE it is IRAN
There is some confusion and all the text is Arabic or Farsi
This ref says it is for IRAQ, but I have my doubts.
The original link was here, but was difficult to download, so I have uploaded and attached it to this thread too.
This link is to IraN ".in" Iraq is ".iq"
