Pipework help required 1

I am mechanical with very limited pipework exposure. Anyway we have a company that has priced up and tendered for a big cooling water project. I have to gho through the tender package and look for mechanical mistakes. What should I look out for. My main thoughts are this:

Make sure they have priced suports.
NDT is covered and conforms with ASME
Hydraulic testing covered
Punch out team accounted for
Torque and tag of flanges


What else is there please? any suggestions?

Hi,

About the support, be sure wich one are sliding and wich one are fix. The customer don´t have specifications about this? It could be an extra cost and a bad surprise.

The stress in the pipe because of thermal expansions/contractions.

The welding procedure, you can have a lot of problems with debris, spaters,... be careful with the contract.

Also the final flushing, pasivation,... because you need a lot of water, chemical products, pumps, a place to recycle these products,...
