As per NFPA 11 Galvanised CS pipe is acceptable for sea water service for foam piping on the fire protection system.
I have a feeling that galvanised is not a good choice because for a site installation galvanisation will be damaged and start rapid corrosion for CS pipe.
We are planning to use GRP ( Bondstarand ) pipe for tank foam piping. Will this be acceptable to NFPA code
Any comments will be appriaciated.
