Place a 3-D line between parts in CatProduct

I am attempting to place a 3-D line between 2 parts in CatProduct mode. Any help doing this will be most appreciated.

Seriously, if you want some help, it wouldn't hurt to be a bit descriptive. "Make a new part" is about as informative as telling your doctor "something hurts".

If you are looking for expert help, be willing to go out of your way a bit. (or your question will not be answered)

I was able to get the results I wanted by creating a catpart from a catproduct. Thanx for the responses

Yes, I guess so. I suppose it's my fault for not knowing better...

I always thought that when you asked someone how to do something that you didn't know how to do, and they asked you for some sort of background - i.e., your reasoning - the natural reaction would be to trust that if someone is willing to question your intent, it MIGHT be because they know something that YOU don't. Apparently, my logic is deniable.
