Placing Points along a Polyline

I am looking for a way to place points along
a polyline at specific distances, similar to
the 'measure' command. However, I need them at
different distances, either relative to the
prior point or absolute along the polyline.

I have a lisp that does this with a user-supplied block, if that works for you, email me at cab@eeiteam.com. The routine prompts for distance from beginning of line or polyline/spline, then distances from last block insertion point.
